Neighbours should be friendly, helpful, civilized … and live next door. That indeed describes ‘Neighbours’, the orchestra. All four met while living next door to one another beside Sanctuary Studios. The luck of fate brought these talented, professionally trained musicians together.

Band Members

Mick Gibbs

Mick provides lead guitar and vocals. His professional musical career includes four years as a full-time on-the-road musician in Alberta and Saskatchewan, before settling down to marry and raise his family in Lantzville. As well as popular music, Mick is active in classical vocals and gospel.

John Little

John is well known to the local music community, having a music diploma from Malaspina College (VIU) and Royal Conservatory classical training. John is extremely versatile, playing bass guitar, lead guitar, mandolin, keyboards and vocals. John brings a talent and passion for jazz, blues and complex acoustic guitar sounds into the Neighbours milieu.

Dave Reid

Dave is classically trained in the Royal Conservatory, and plays piano and keyboards as well as vocals in Neighbours. Using state of the art synthesizers, he can draw from over 1500 instrument sounds. His musical career has ranged from rock bands through solo performance at local Neighbourhood Pubs, to his current passion for digital multimedia.

Jaime Skipper

Jaime is the rhythm section of Neighbours. With a background in highland pipe drumming, Jaime uses either acoustic drums or a state of the art digital drum set to provide an amazing array of percussion and drum sounds. Digital drums combine the quality of acoustic drum sounds with volume control to vary between quiet entertainment and commanding dance rhythms.
